Hello from Louisiana!

Gonna take the plunge into another hobby!

Kinda wandered into a few websites looking for some magnolia fragrance and now I think I'm hooked!

I have been reading a lot about making scrubs, lotions, soaps, etc., and even purchased a few items at the local hobby store. I think I would enjoy this and LOVE all the different scents and varieties.

I will probably start with the easiest technique possible and work my way up. If anyone else is out there from the Baton Rouge area, let me know.

I made a scrub from a recipe in Making magazine and I've ordered some supplies to make lip balm from Brambleberry. I've been lurking at The Perfumer's Apprentice website but just can't decide what to order!

I have a couple other projects I must finish before I begin this new obsession!

You don't have to tell me about spending too much. I have a whole room full of scrapbooking stuff! But, it keeps me off the streets!

It's been raining all day here. Good day to be lazy.

I just got my supplies in yesterday and I had some people over so I was cooking and cleaning. I made smoked shrimp and corn chowder with cheddar/garlic biscuits instead of lip balm!
