Hello everyone! I'm SoapAddict415 & I'm a newbie. I have 3 months & 2 out of 4 successful batches under my belt! I love experimenting & the whole creative process of soap making! I wish I tried this years ago but the thought of using lye scared me. Now that I'm older & bolder, I love it!

I know what you mean by being intimidated by using lye. It took me years to get up the nerve and then I wondered why I had been so worried. I also kicked myself for not starting earlier.

In my case, it was my husband who was intimidated by the lye. He made me buy a full body hazmat suit to wear while soaping! I ditched it after a few batches but still use goggles, gloves, and clothing and shoes that provide full coverage.

Lol,i don't know about BIG, Hamtramck is only about 2.2 square miles, but yes we do have a strawberry festival as well as a Polish festival every year.

Wow, that's a small city. My daughter is a Geography Guru when it comes to the U.S. She always knows these weird tidbits and facts about states. I'll have to let her know that she was correct about that.
