Hello, everyone,

actually, I started my soapmaking career rather by accident, or due to the lack of reading glasses.
3 yeas ago I wanted to join a workout class at our local adult school. I somehow messed up the numbers in the application form ( get glasses!) and signed up for a soapmaking class. Nice twist of fate. And much more fun.

What a funny story! I think that making soap is a lot more fun than working out, too. Welcome.

Hertzlich Willkommen!

Guten Tag! Willkommen! I love your story! Soap making is fun!

what a great mishap! LOL Soaping is much more fun :-D

Hello and welcome! I was amused by your explanation of how you started soapmaking. Kismet, perhaps? :D

I agree soapmaking is more fun than exercising.

LOL that is very funny. I'm glad you stuck it out and hope you are actively enjoying making soap. Dang after reading this thread I think I'll add Germany to my bucket list!

Thank you, all! What a warm welcome.
I really got addicted to soap making. Do you know that awkward feeling, when it's weekend, stores are closed an you ran out of olive oil? Oh, of course not, stores are open almost 24/7 in the States. I'm missing that.
We are traveling to the US next Monday, flying into Philadelphia, driving north to New Jersey. Memory Lane, you know?
We are going to stay at a friend's house. He got a little upset when he received one package after another, all filled up with fragrance oils, essential oils......
Can't wait to be back. I really like this country, always felt welcome and comfortable.
I like Germany, too, of course. You get to know your own country much better, once you lived abroad.
