Hello, I'm Lindy and another Canuck. This one west coast. I'm new to soaping but quite enjoying it and looking forward to learning more.

Hi there

Welcome,You will love it here.
For a moment I had thought that was sunshine coast Aus. and that you were just down the road from me.Never mind.
Scuse me , back to my soap making addiction.

Hello and Welcome :) I'm another B.C. Canuck here in the sunny Okanagan. I love the Sunshine Coast - it's beautiful there.

Hey there Gardener and fellow Canuck - I lived in Falkland for a couple of years so I'm quite familiar with the area as I worked in Kelowna, and had friends in Summerland. Is the closure by Summerland affecting you very much?

Starduster - Australia and New Zealand are two countries I've always wanted to visit. At one point I was looking at staying at one of the guest ranches that had camels to ride as well as horses. Never was able to do it - but I thought that would be just too much fun!

Thanks Becky, Chay & Tabitha for your welcome. :p

My sister lives near Falkland in Paxton Valley. I live east of Vernon in Cherryville and work in Vernon so the road closure doesn't affect me at all :D . Wow, you've lived all over the Valley too! I was born and raised in Penticton, lived in Summerland and Kelowna.

I've travelled around the Sunshine Coast quite a bit as I have relatives in Powell River. Where on the beautiful Coast do you live?

Wow, that is very cool - Paxton Valley - I was a First Responder in Falkland so I know the area pretty well. It's a nice little town.

I've been through Cherryville once and it was really pretty if memory serves me right. I like those area much better than living in Vernon or Kelowna.

I live in Powell River and am loving it! We just arrived here this summer and feel like we're living in paradise. It is so amazing to me that I still have flowers blooning in November! The draw back is that my lawn needs mowing too. Ah well I'm sure not going to complain about the grass when I can have flowers this late.

Cheers

Aahh, pretty Powell River and flowers still blooming (sigh). We had our first good frost about two weeks ago so my flowers are gone now. First Responder as in paramedic?

I remember watching the frost line coming down those mountains. :?

First Responder as in we arrive before the paramedics because of how long it takes to get BCAS out there. We attended all medical emergencies, stabilized and maintained patients until the paramedics got there. It was interesting and fulfilling work. Totally volunteer which is cool too.
