I am so excited to have found this group. I am in the process of transitioning from my professional life as an occupational therapist and I needed (past tense!!) to find a new passion. I strongly appreciate the science of soap and as health care services continue to deteriorate, (personal opinion), I need to find a new venue to be able to creatively express myself. I have experience with essential oils in the use for dementia and pain management and I want to continue my education in their use. So, hello to all and my sincere thanks for this forum. I have been reading for only a few hours and have already learned some amazing information. I was happy to find the HSCG and even more thrilled to find out conference next year is in my home state of Indiana. If this is indeed my new professional path, I will look forward to meeting my new friends next year in Indy.

Thank-you very much for the warm welcome. I 've learned so much already. I give myself a new reading assignment daily and take lots of notes, write down questions.... I feel like I'm in college again and loving every minute of it!

Welcome and looking forward to all your projects and insight. Also always glad to meet fellow people of CORN country! Lol

Hello Carty. From a post yesterday I had no business commenting on; (Broke personal rule of speaking about something I know nothing about and EG very approp called me on it), I moved the FDA regs up on my reading list for today. I'm out of State right now so I can't print them, but my Word docs I've organized are already turning into chapters of books! It will be fun a year from now or so to go back and see where I started from. One success though; one of my docs are "Questions" page(s), and from the info I've learned here, the Web and my Kindle books, I've been able to find answers for about 25%. Progress!
