Hello, a newbe from BC, Canada

Hello all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. Layne from BC. New to CP but have been doing MP with the family for several years. Wanted to attempt some CP soaps and this forum has given me some very good information already.

My wife and I did a small test batch the other night. A Bastille recipe that I added Turmeric and Lemon EO to. It went as it should have so far and looks good.

Preparing to move up in size I built a mould. based on the calculations for volume it should make a 2 pound loaf for 8 smaller bars. I'll post another thread on that.

As my handle may suggest I am a beer geek. I see I'm not alone so I will admit. I am looking forward to using my beer in some soap. I plan to make shower bars, shaving soap and I am going to try out a shampoo bar as well.

I'm looking forward to learning more here and I may even be able to add something in the future. I am a water specialist by day and my wife is a baker.
