I have and I absolutely love how clean and shiny my hair is . I don't even use conditioner anymore . Hubby loves it too , I don't know if it is a coincidence but he has stopped losing as much hair as he was , using shampoo. We have tried them all , but one with avocado is the house favorite.

I have! I have very very oily hair as it is though, and my soaps are all superfatted so I found they just made my hair feel heavy and greasy. :(

yes, as a matter of fact! :D

at a nice hotel i had to use a glycerine guest soap because i forgot my shampoo. my hair was so silky and shiney!

i started washing my hair with c/p and m/p soaps and after about 6 months now there is less hair in the shower drain and less in my brush!

my hair has so much body. i have fine thin weenie hair, but now it looks much healthier!

good bye expensive shampoos!

A customer of mine just told me the other day that she uses my soap on her hair. I thought the same thing as Ashley - that it would feel heavy and gross. I guess it all depends on your hair type.

i am going to start doing this for my ds and dd. we had to cut DD's hair. it was almost to her waist and is now chin length. her scalp was just so irritated and dry. she donated her hair to Locks of Love, so it is ok, but now maybe i can use a milder soap on her hair and hopefully it will improve her scalp.

I have used every soap but one on my hair and other than the lack of sudsing (read, SLS) it did a decent job of it. I haven't done any extensive runs but nowwwww that I think of it, I bet a pure castille soap would do wonders. To the bat cave.

a glycerine soap won't leave your hair greasy. i don't understand the whole process of making glycerine soaps, but they aren't superfated like c/p.

my neighbor used to have terrible dandruff and itchy scalp. i suggested she try that nutrogena soap and it finally cleared up.

if i remember correctly, it's for problem (acne) skin, so there's probably stuff in there that wont further irritate your skin. you might just try dd with a non-colored non-fragranced glycerine soap.

I usually soap twice , the first time , not many bubbles , the second time , tons of bubbles. My soap is superfatted too.

I tried my shampoo bar and I hated it. Not to mention I scented it with lavender and hate that too! My hair is longer than shoulder length and it just made my hair dry and poof out. Now I don't know what to do with my soap. I buy natural shampoo and am looking for something cheaper than $8 a bottle and I'm soooo tired of peppermint and lavender natural shampoos. I might have to look on etsy to see what people are concocting.

would there not be certain oils used for a shampoo bar as compared to oils used for a body bar......

I did make what the recipe called a shampoo bar . I like my avocado oil soap better . The oils used are the same as hand soap , hemp oil is often found in shampoo bar recipes.

I'm yet to use a soap I've made on my hair. I think I'm going to wait another 4weeks until my recent attempt at a shampoo bar has cured and then I'll be posting the results here :)

there is a book available thru www.storeybooks.com by catherine failor MAKING NATURAL LIQUID SOAPS.

it has lots of pictures and recipes for shampoos, shower gels bubble baths and hand soaps.

you may want to check it out. :D

I tried it, loved it for a day because my hair styled so nicely that day, and after that it was awful. Looked greasy and coated. I have some MP though, maybe I should try a poo bar with MP. :)
