Have i used enough EO?

I have made a 1200g (42 ounce) batch and put in 1 tbsp Orange and 1tbsp Cary Sage EOs - do you think this is enough?

hi kellyc! I use around .5 to 1 ounce of essential oils per pound of carrier oils. It does depend somewhat on which oils you are using. Some are stronger then others. Assuming you used 1200 grams total oils (not total soap) you should be using around 37.5 - 75 grams EO for that sized batch. I hope this helps!

What if i was to make a peppermint loaf. Peppermint is quite strong - would i still need around 35ml or less in this case?

I max at 0.25 oz per pound peppermint oil in my soaps. Others may go higher.
