Hi guys,

Im starting to wonder if my nose has got too used to the smell of my soap coz i keep smelling it and thinking 'it doest smell strong enough!' but other people say it does?! So i need your help!!

Does 2 table spoons of Peppermint EO oil sound enough for 996g of oils??

Thank you!

That's should be way more than enough.

Last night I made a little batch of Peppermint salt soap, 2.5 lbs of oil, I used 1.5 oz of Peppermint oil. The scent is wafting from the soap room and enveloping much of the downstairs.

that's about 1 oz in 2# of oils (that's 996 grams of OIL right?) which is about half an ounce per pound. should be plenty enough for a strong EO like peppermint.

Yes, 996g of oil. Fabulous, thank you!

When i 1st made it, the whole apartment smelt of peppermint! But now it's been curing for 3 weeks, it's not half as strong so i was worried i hadnt put enough in!

Thanks for your input, this forum has been such a help to me!!

I do think we get used to the smells & tend to over look them. Sometimes I have to use my husbands nose. (That sounds funny huh?)

   Tabitha! I know what you mean. I have to do the same too, especially as mine is so unreliable (my nose, not my DH!) - some days good, some days not so good.......the last thing I want is to blow a customer's sinuses out!

For certain. Even when I do an outdoors craft fair, about 15 mins in the tent & I can't smell a bloomin' thing, but my customers come from across the fair to say they followed the scent to my tent!!
