Has anyone used savonscents??

Just wondering if the FO's and EO's were any good? This seems to be the largest expense in soapmaking

I would order the the Ultra or XC Extreme strengths if you are ordering fragrance oil. You won't have to use as much as with the SOS strength. At least that has been my experience with their f.o.s.

I have ordered from them. They, like pretty much any other good fo supplier, have their good ones and their not so good ones.
If you'r using the fo in cp, I agree about going extreme.

I've ordered from them, too, they have some very nice fo's. Now, I try to order from sites that have more info about how the fo performs in cp, but still order their Fahrenheit. I get it in ultra strength, it's very good.

I've ordered from them a couple of times. The SOS Baby Powder is really strong, I love the Butt Naked but in SOS strength it became very light--should have went with ultra, it soaped like a dream. The Jamaca me crazy scent is another one that was super strong in the SOS strength, soaped great and a real sticker in my soap.

So when you use ultra or extreme you dont dilute it as suggested? You just add it as usual? They say to withhold some oil from the origina batch and add it to the frag oil before adding to your batch. Does anyone do that, or just add it in?

I was thrilled down to my toes to discover they have an Ivory dupe. I used to use it years ago. Have always loved the scent, but the soap itself leaves a lot to be desired. (I don't think you can do a superfat in negative numbers, but . . . .)

Made my usual tallow recipe, with whitetail tallow. Lovely stuff, much better than the "real" Ivory.

Does the stuff go bad? You are going to laugh, but cleaning out my bathroom closet today and I came across several bottles from them! My husband brought them home a yr or two ago from a rental property. The stuff was left behind by a tenant. He used to put it on the dogs after a bath but our dogs passed away last yr and the yr before so I put them in the closet. They still smell good so I am going to give it a go.
