Hi
I have some copper sulphate crystals and would like to add them into soap as I believe it has some amazing antiseptic properties. I have found some articles and free patents for Copper Soaps/Copper Sulphate Soap but the technical jargon is beyond my understanding. My thinking is that it would be safe to add to a hot process soap at the point of adding essential oils - dissolving/diluting in a little water then cooking a few minutes more. I think I am willing to try that method, but would love to know if there would be a chemical reaction if I added it into the lye water - I am not brave enough yet to test whether the kitchen blows up or I end up with a noxious gas given off.
Can anyone help with advice or suggestions, please
