Has anyone used bear tallow for soap making?

My butcher has a batch of bear fat he is going to grind for me. He said his mom used to render it to cook with and it renders out pure white. If that's the case I'd like to give it a go to make soap however, I don't know if it is stripping like beef tallow or more like lard. So I'm not sure how much to superfat it. Ideas?
