I should receive my package today, i ordered a large amount of black african soap. to my understanding, it's is already made so I would just separate it into bars or whatever i want, and package them. has anyone ever worked with it? it's a soft soap so I think it should be a playdough consistency? the claims are that it is great for acne, and scars. is it true?? or did i fall into a hoax?

it all depends where you getting it from , which you did not state . but over the last several years (real) African Black Soap has been sold in quantities to be shaped and sold by the individual. it has the characteristics you stated , soft like play dough
and a brownish color. there may be slight variation in color depending on the region it comes from in Africa. there are different suppliers in the u.s and throughout u.k and Africa as well . i would recommend finding a sustainable collective out of africa or representative and buy direct from the source , if you are planning to carry it as a product , it will cut out the middle man and be a great help to the women that work making the product.
and yes the claims are true , i have family members that have used it for acne and skin problems which it help greatly .

p.s real black soap is hard to make outside of africa due to its technique and ingredients

i doubt i could make it! however, i bought it from a supplier and real or not, hahah it works. i've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it does exactly what the claims are. it has cleared my skin and dried it a little, but i think i wash my face TOO much so i also use jojoba oil to keep it moisturized. i do love the soap though!!
