Happy Oz Day

Happy Australia Day everyone - hope you all have a great day if your not working and if you are working try to enjoy it anyway.

Its going to be 37 here tomorrow so might try and get a swim in early before all the crowds. We have a lot of celebrations in our shire by the water and fireworks also. Might have a barbie for tea.

So what are you all doing ? A barbie maybe ?

I'm looking forward to having a holiday tomorrow. I tried to convince my boss to let me have Waitangi Day off instead, as I could catch up on heaps of Home Detention paper work if I was the only person in the office tomorrow ... but as expected I was told if I wanted Waitangi Day off, I had to apply for leave.

Damn ... anything for another excuse to have a day off!

We're expecting another extreme day ... which will be lovely ... although I might have to force myself to stay away from my vegie garden or risk getting burnt.

Hey Girls, hope u all had a great day, I had the day off and worked in the garden lol.....no BBQ tonight but we had BBQ chicken and salad....is a georgeous day here too , not sure of the temp but it was real hot....

DragonKaz your too funny wanting Waitangi Day as well :0) I have slept most of the day away......after four nightshifts I am pretty much good for nothing more that lots of naps through the day and off to bed in a minute and will sleep for a good eight hours which for me is lots :0)

Has been very hot here!

Spent the morning in my vegie garden and the afternoon in front of the TV watching series 3 of Son's of Anarchy.

A lovely lazy day!

... and it's back to work tomorrow!

Well it was hot here that day and went to the beach at 7.30, not too busy and the water was so warm, we left at about 10am when all the hoons turned up in their boats and doof, doof music. Hottest Oz day in 20 yrs.

Had lunch at home and dh went to Woolies to buy some lamingtons (none left ) but came home with a lamington cake, next best thing. Went swimming again in the afternoon at about 5, came home and we had a barbie. So very Australian I thought - a swim, lamingtons ,barbie.
