I can't be the only one having issues with my labels starting off straight and curving towards the top or bottom. I want one long label to wrap around my jars or lotion bar tubes and I'm not having any luck.

I cut one of my labels in 3 last night to wrap around a small lotion bar tube and it looked awful. The label is only 4.5 inches long in total and breaking it up just doesn't look right.

Any suggestions? How do you handle this?

Okay, I am going to be TERRIBLE at describing this. A picture is worth a thousand words, but I didn't save the picture! But here goes, I will try to explain it...

Someone with the very same problem came up with an ingenious solution. Picture something along the lines of a bookend, a flat piece and a piece connected to it that stands upright. Both pieces have a grid with measurements on them, and a center line. You put your label sticky side up (printed side down) on the flat piece, and center it and align it straight on the grid, then place the bottom of the product sideways against the vertical piece. Now slide the product down, staying flush against the board, all the way to the label. It will stick along the center and lift up with the jar or tube and you then smooth the label along in both directions. And now it is centered, straight, and even!

I have NO CLUE if that made any sense but that's about the best I can do...

I can kind of see what it is. I think if I were just using a label that might work, but I'm using a label protection dispenser to make my labels less likely to be damaged so they are pretty rigid. I tried it first with applying the label and then the tape but it's too much work.

I'm currently re-branding and changing all my packaging to look more professional so it's like starting from scratch after 10 years

I just tried it again and started at the bottom edge and it's not terribly awful as it curves up to the top. I'm sure I'm seeing it more than my customers will. My hubby keeps rolling his eyes at me LOL
