I got asked to make a big batch of castile soap. Unscented and uncoloured (technically I'm using clay) for my mother's book club. Wouldn't it figure I would knock over my crock pot full of simmering lye/ oil. Now I'm out about 100oz of oliver oil and so am completely out of my brand new bottle. Grr... Thank goodness I got a bonus since now I'm out of one of my favorite basic oils. I might need to started buying larger containers. Ah shipping to Canada.

How are the gremlins treating my friends in the soaping world.

By the way, the floor is now very clean and no one was struck by the mix.

Thank God no one got struck for sure :) But too bad on the 100oz of oil being gone, that sucks!!!!!

Overthemoon - where are you in Canada? I'm on the west coast and I buy all my oils from Voyageur as they have the least expensive shipping. They take 5% of you order and apply it to the freight so it's reduced. Their prices for oils are quite good too.

The only things I'm generally buying out of the US are my organza bags, some fragrances and tart melters...... Oh there is probably the odd thing or two on top of that which I buy but my main supplies are from Canada.

I live near Surrey so I usually just drive to Voyageur. It's just annoying because I was literally JUST there. I'll probably go on Tuesday anyway as a treat. I'm having a show down with my manager (poison work place stuff) Tuesday morning so I'll probably need a treat.
