Hello all. Been lurking a while and finally registered yesterday. Lots of information here and I have enjoyed learning so far.
I have exactly three batches under my belt, each a HP shaving soap inspired by the same thread that inspired Songwind in his thread. Two of them worked.
I have no desire to sell soaps, but I enjoy knowing I am capable of making my own things that other people only see as something you buy from a store. I'm sort of a serial hobbyist anyway. Today after making a batch of shaving soap I'll be doing some smoking meats out back - another of my recent hobbies. As you can imagine that particular one is pretty popular here in KC. It's also something that goes well with soap because my wife won't let me stay in the house after smoking till I shower.
