Hey everyone,
I know it's been said before on these boards that GSE is NOT a preservative, but I just thought I'd put it out there one more time. I was very uninformed about it and followed the advice in one of the popular Soap Making How-To books and bought some. My best friend is an herbalist and when she spotted the GSE she told me about how terrible it is. Apparently it goes through a very toxic, environmentally destructive process to become something that doesn't even do what it's supposed to do. And it's possible the stuff is toxic to us once we use it.
I asked her to send me some info on it and she did. So, I thought I'd share it with everyone, since it has helped me along in my journey of learning to make soap!

Well, I hope nobody makes the same mistake I did and goes and buys it before realizing what it is! :?
