Although it is expensive, I use Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) in most of my batches because it reduces trace time and is a natural preservative (and I always discount my lye by about 7%). I typically add 0.7% GSE per batch. For instance, today I made a 72 ounce batch and added 0.5 ounces GSE. Does anyone else have a favored GSE persentage that you prefer? I'd appreciate comparing notes.
