Hey everyone! I'm just now getting back into making soap, last time I ever made any was a very long time ago, I have made a few batches since then though and they turned out pretty well, but still not quite what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a soap that will have a thick, creamy lather as opposed to more bubbly.
Does this seem like it would be good for that?

And does this seem like it would be a good dual purpose bar for a shampoo bar & body soap? Thanks!

Your first recipe should give you what you want but the second won't. A shampoo bar needs to be low cleansing, high conditioning. This is the shampoo recipe I started with, you can replace the soy with coconut to make it a bit more cleansing. It will be a nice body bar too unless you have oily skin.

Thank you for the recipes, I'll have to try them! :)

So with the shampoo bar recipe in the link, since it's so soft does it "melt" in the shower faster? How long does it take to unmold?
