OK, now that I've done a successful batch of goats milk soap, I'm wondering if I can super fat it as high as 7%, or is that asking for trouble because of the milk content?

I used 2 oz of powdered goatsmilk which constitutes to about 1 cup of milk to 32 oz of oils.

TIA! :D

depends on how DOS-prone your recipe is. I don't recall if you gave it to us.

let's see. you used 2 oz which is the equivalent of 2 cups liquid (16 fluid ounces) and the web site for Meyenberg GM (http://www.meyenberg.com/?action=facts) says that 8 oz has 7.8 grams of fat - so you only added about 15 grams of fat, or half an ounce.

Nah, don't worry about it.

Thanks Carebare. My recipe isn't DOS prone. All my oils have at least a 1 year shelf life, & I do like Paul & add T-50 to all my oils when they come in.

Off to visit Meyenberg GM now.
