I've made 3 batches of soap so far. They've all been 100% lard. Now I want to try GM soap. I have canned goats milk, coconut juice and aloe vera juice. I have to dilute the goats milk because it's concentrated. I thought it might be fun to dilute the GM with the aloe juice or coconut juice. Do you think it would make any difference. I'm also considering not using any lard. I'm thinking of using 50% olive, 30% coconut oil, 10% soybean oil, and 10% sunflower oil (plain kind from the store). Do you guys have any suggestions?? Thanks!

For a first go, I would mix lye with a minimum amount of water (say 1 lye to 1.2 water ratio) and then add the balance as concentrated goat's milk after mixing your lye solution and oils together. As you are new to soaping, I'd hold off on the coconut juice or aloe vera. Too many variables at once. The natural sugars from the coconut juice plus what's in the goat's milk could cause overheating. Also if you're changing out your soaping oils, why not stick to plain goat's milk this time around.

Soy and sunflower have a relatively short shelf life. Total % for both, I'd keep at 15% or less of my recipe.

You could also make a very nice soap with 50% OO, 25% CO and 25% lard.
