Are you able to add goats milk to melt and pour soap. I don't mean like a goats milk m&P base. I would like to add goats milk to my melt and pour soap. Does anyone have a recipe for this? Thanks.

I just read on here somewhere that you can add 1/4 cup of liquid to a 1lb of soap base. I bought some powdered goats milk and mix it with about 3 tbs water and then stir it into my base. It works so far.

Since MP soap is already saponified, I would be afraid that liquid milk added to MP base would spoil, go rancid or smell bad.

What I've been taught is that you can add up to 1Tbsp of liquid (all combined, including color, FOs or EOs) per pound of M&P base - I would have to agree that adding milk may cause your soap to spoil faster...
