Looking for advice from someone experienced with making and selling goat milk lotions. Have made several batches of lotions and given to family and friends and need to know if there are any problems that may occur later on that I am not aware of before we start selling. Need a little reassurance that we are doing it right.

As long as you're doing 2 things. 1 - Don't use more than 12% as your goat milk portion. 2 - you have used the maximum recommended amount of preservative. If you have done these 2 things you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply....can we be safe on giving it a shelf life of 6 months.....and maybe warning not to expose to heat. Worried about it spoiling for the customer.

Providing you are at least challenge testing them at home in as rough environments are you can then a 6 month life is fair. If unsure then do send it in for challenge testing.

I make goat milk lotions, I was taught not to go over 10% with your milk. I keep mine at 9%. Do send out for testing, I sent mine to the place listed above and would recommend it.
