Hi, long time lurker, first time poster. Yesterday morning I made a GM soap. Everything appeared to be normal until I sliced into it. The outside was a very nice tan color but once I sliced into it I saw the soap had a blue/green hue in the center. Does anyone know what could have caused this?

Here is my recipe:
18 oz. Olive Oil (Sam's Club brand)
13 oz. Coconut Oil (Louanna brand)
7 oz. Lard
7 oz. Palm Oil
3 oz. Castor
3 oz. Shea Butter

7 oz. water & 8.3 frozen goat milk cubes
7.1 oz. of lye

3 oz. essential orange oil

3 tsp. kaolin clay

3 tsp. ground oat flour

I used the mixture of frozen GM and water to dissolve the lye. I added the kaolin and oat flour after I combined the flour and lye. I'd appreciate any input you have to give. I have made a lot of soap, 100+ batches, but have never seen accidental blue soap!

The soap looks fine this morning, tan all the way around. I guess I will chalk it up to weird science.

I don't know why it turned blue/green but other people have posted about odd color changes when making the soap or within a day or two. I like your weird science comment.
