Any idea how to stop this? Whenever it is humid and low pressure, the glycerin sweats out of my soaps. I have a whole batch right now that has been curing for about 2 months and every bar is covered with so much that wiping just the sides of just one bar is enough to moisturize both my hands. I would much prefer the glycerin remain IN my soap! Any suggestions?

Did the post get moved? I thought i put it in the CP forum. Im referring to CP.

What recipe do you use? Do you add any extra glycerin? I have had it sweat out when I tried adding extra glycerin to try to make very moisturizing soap. I decided not to do that again, don't think I need it in soap. I now save it for my lotion.

Hi Bodhi, do you want to try to put a dehumidifier around your soaps to absorb the extra moisture when it get humid? By doing that, the glycerin in the soaps will not have the chance to absorb the water and moisture in the air.

Thank you hoegarden, and oh i was so hoping that wouldnt be the only recommendation. Problem is i have curing racks all over the place and there is really no way to isolate them in a dehumidified area right now. I wonder if there is something i could add to the soap to keep it in there while still leaving it available during washing...

Kansas, nope, no added glycerin and sorry, i cant post my recipe but i use unrefined oils and botanicals in my soaps...
