This just struck me so funny LOL. Just happened today.
So patients answer to anything when you call a name out in hopes of getting "to the back" quicker.
An Anesthesiologist came down the the dept today with a funny/not funny story depending on which side of the story you are in. I'm making up names...
"Mr Smith? Mr Smith?" Guy jumps up in great anticipation. All excited, the nurse says "its time! Come with me and you can cut the umbilical cord!" The guy goes back, cuts the umbilical cord...goes to the head of the bed "This isn't my wife!!" Still in stirrups, the woman/new mom starts screaming for him to get out.
True story. Can't make this stuff up LOL LOL
