Ever had one of those days where every goes wrong and by the time you are done, you want to chuck your soap across the yard while screaming obscenities?

Well, this is that soap. Turned out well in the end and smells really nice. Scented with BB alpine frost and a little birchwood oud. The ugly moss green will morph into a very pretty mint green.

Hopefully the inside is ok. The batter was really thin when poured. I'm afraid the pretty spring color drop swirl I imagined will look more like a in the pot swirl. Just hoping it won't be muddy.

well to be honest I have a lot of those days. I really like your color combo!! post pics when you cut that puppy open

Been there WAY too many times to count ;) In the end most turned out well enough.
1 I tossed, it was a rebatch.
1 other the scent was good but the end result sucked. Thank goodness my guy who buys this particular scent bought them all for $5 :) so I didn't have to toss it and he had his scent till I finish my new recipe .
In the end it gave me time to try a few recipes and wait for 4 months before deciding on which I wanted :)

The actual making of the soap was fine, besides it taking too long to trace and me not having enough patience to wait it out. No, this time it was the prep that got me.

lard was froze, went to store to buy more and it was outdated.
refigured recipe with tallow instead. Out of castor, redid recipe again.
bought hardware store lye, has black specks. Had to pick them out with tiny spoon.
silk smelled weird when adding lye, is it even silk or some kind of plant fiber? It was a free from a member, forgot who.
couldn't find my TD, still missing. base should be white enough plain.
couldn't find divider for wooden mold, had to make new one. made it too small, had to improvise.
puppy tore house apart while downstairs working on mold.
hubby had panic attack in the middle of this.
forgot how to line mold, paper liner is a hot crinkly mess.
poured out too much for each color, went with it anyways.

At least the house smells good, like really good. The Alpine frost is one of the best FO's I've smelled, too bad I didn't have enough to use it alone but the birchwood added a really nice depth.

:) OMG - now we're REALLY waiting for the pic to see how worth it it was!

I think I would have tossed in the towel about halfway through what you went through--cant wait to see the cut

Apparently I'm not smart enough to stop, lol.

They turned out pretty ok, I'm happy.
