I had a batch of soap that just didn't turn out. The soap itself it fab- it is hard and lathers beautifully. But the swirls didn't turn out because most of the colors faded. (Soap colors from the hobby store- I got excited wanting to try something new, don't judge, I learned my lesson....)

This is the prettiest bar and looks the better in the photo than it does in real life. The red and pink and some purple held while the green and blue completely disappeared. So much for all my hard work pouring and swirling.
So if you don't like how it looks, COVER IT!

Bar of soap with a hand knit soap sweater!
After re-batching some scraps and being so happy with that turn out, I decided just to grate it all up and rebatch!

I added some pink grapefruit scent to it. I'm SO MUCH HAPPIER with it.
Like I mentioned in my other thread, I added too much water making the finished bars more like clay when cut. But I was able to soften cut edges and fill in holes. My kids thought it was HYSTERICAL when I took the last half bar and smushed it into a ball.
Some of these are still destined for a sweater or some felt because covering holes left the outsides a little bumpy. But I gotta WAIT and let them dry.

That's a clever idea to knit your soap a sweater. Now I wish I hadn't given up on knitting because it looks great. Also, your rebatch turned out beautiful. It makes me think of rose quartz.
