Fresh peppermint in CP

I am think of using fresh peppermint blend in my next batch
Anybody has experience?

I've used it before. Made tea with it for the water phase and added the chopped leaves. The scent doesn't carry through and the leaves turned brown. Not a very good additive in my experience. I have sprinkled finely ground mint on the top of the soap with good results. It stayed green and two months later, still has a light scent.

Dried botanicals are much safer to use than fresh. Best to infuse the fresh in oil and strain all plant material out of the oil. There is always a risk of the fresh rotting

I always put some ground mint leaves in my peppermint soap. Turns brown, but I love the way in looks in the white bar.

I cheat. When I make peppermint soap, I add dried parsley for color, not peppermint. It looks like it should be peppermint and retains its color nicely.
