Great Idea, We have them up here too, but we also have a general junk one where all unwanted household stuff ( not food garbage or green waste ) goes out on the foot path and the council comes and takes it away....happens twice a year and stops people from dumping large rubbish in the bush or waterways ...the best idea our council has had in a long time !!

We have had council clean ups for years, you can find some good stuff if you want to look.

We have council clean-up as well, also twice a year. This is in addition to that. Apart from environmental factors, one needs to be careful of disposing of articles like old computers and mobile phones. They hold a great deal of personal information, even after deletion. I would suggest removing the hard drive and keeping it.

They have them in the city, but not out here ... and I think that's crazy, as many people can't afford the crazy prices it costs to dispose of that type of rubbish.
