Not sure where this goes. But....I got a bath bomb kit for Christmas and I was wondering if I could uses the colors and Fragences that came with them on my soap and use the ones I use for my soap with the bath bombs.

Thanks

You can certainly use the soap colors and FO in bath bombs. I would be careful with the colorant that came with the bath bombs as they may not be High PH stable. You can certainly try them but I don’t think I would as not worth the risk of fading or morphing. The FO May be okay but again different use and could cause a seize of CP.

Carrie at Nurture recently wrote a blog post about blue ultramarine and green oxides not being approved for use in bath bombs. https://soapmakingrules.com/2017/11/03/colors-for-bath-bombs/

Marie Gale has also written about this. http://www.mariegale.com/color-additives-bath-products/

There is a colorant chart at fda.gov to refer to. If there is a ‘yes’ in the column with the heading (generally includes) lipsticks, it is considered safe for in bath products. At least that is my understanding.
