I had my mind made up that I was going to order the kd7000 scale, but just keep thinking that it is going to take up too much room (height wise for my really small kitchen with barely any counter space) and I would really like for my scale to fit in a large ziploc type bag (so I will be ok with using it for cooking too). I really want a flat scale, so does anyone have any recommendations? Which one do you use?

Get that scale. I'm making do with a kitchen scale after another scale had broke on me. I'm used to weighing things more than what I can now. At least with model you're considering you would be better able to make soaps, especially liquid soap and lotions want what not.
