Made a batch of goat milk soap, just cut in the picture.
What caused those lighter flecks? My best guess was that I didn't mix the palm oil all the way, I thought the whole bottle was melted until I poured and saw that there was still a big chunk still un-melted. This is the first time using such a large container of palm oil (7lb container from Soaper's Choice).
Any other ideas?
Here's my recipe:
15oz Coconut Oil
15oz Olive Oil
15oz Palm Oil
2oz Castor Oil
Goat Milk (frozen) 17oz
Lye 6.8oz
F.O (Lavender) 1.5oz
Color 1Tbsp Oxide
The oil was at 90F and the Lye/Milk mix was at 80F when mixed together.
Thanks for all the help, I'm still pretty new at this but excited to learn something new every batch.
