Well, I've just finished my first batch and got it in the mold! I wouldn't have made it this far without all of the wonderful info on this board. I was quite surprised with how quick it traced, my oils were:
Coconut 25%
Palm 35%
Olive 13%
Soybean 20%
Castor 7%
I didn't realize I was almost out of olive oil, which is reason for the odd percentage, It would have been 33% olive, but I didn't have enough. I used Cybilla Frankincense and Myrrh FO, which I think will be OK. Threw in some gold mica as well just for fun. I now realize that this whole fragrance thing is going to be harder than I thought, but a lot of fun. I decided to make soap, as someone had given me Zum bar, and I loved the scent. I looked at their site, and thought I would make soap instead of buy it! I now know I'm going to need to mix and match if I want to come close to duplicating the Zum bar scent. I'm off to look for some essential oils and FO, there's just so many different types and so many different sites it's a bit overwhelming! I can't wait to unmold tomorrow, I hope it's nice soap, it looked really good when I poured it in.
Thanks again everyone!
