First time

Hello, I was attempting to make liquid soap for the first time and I thought I had purchased potassium hydroxide but purchased sodium hydroxide. Followed the recipe I had and am not sure if the soap will be okay. I made many mistakes but am curious if I should just throw it away of it is safe to use? Attached are a few pictures it is currently in the crock pot and needs about another hour according to the recipe. The white gelatinous stuff boiled out of the pot when I stepped away? Thank you for any advise!

Hello and welcome. If you post your recipe we will better be able to help. You shouldn’t have to cook the soap long at all. DdI you run your recipe through a soap calculator for NAOH and KOH?

Thank you. No I followed this recipe and realized shortly into it that I had used the wrong lye...
