Hello knowledgeable soap makers! Last night i attempted making liquid soap. I think it went well, except for this morning when i went to look in my slow cooker expecting to find a runny diluted soap mixture, it was still very thick. My recipe was 75% Olive oil, 12.5% castor oil, and 12.5% coconut oil. I found the water and KOH values using the Summerbee lye and water calculator. Everything went well getting to the translucent stage. For the dilution stage, i added the weight of the paste in distilled water and let it sit over night. But like i said its still very much a paste this morning, im assuming i need to add more water but how much? Is adding the weight of paste in water a good starting point and then you just kind of add more until you get the proper consistency? Will the amount of water you add dilute the ph level of the soap?

Thank you
