The base layer is a basic unscented coffee soap for color. The top layer is scented, Palm Island, and is the same recipe as the base layer but without the coffee. The colors turned out nice, definitely different than I expected because I have never worked with Palm Island before.

I think the FO separated, not sure. The soap came out of the mold really oily so I trimmed all that off and am re-batching it. First time for re-batching too so we will see how that goes.

All in all, pretty happy with the layered soap. The layers seem to be holding and I like the clean line between the two.

Some recipes do get an oily top which will absorb back in a couple of days. I would have waited before rebatch. Your soap looks nice!

I thought I read that the oils will absorb back in. The sides and tops of the soaps were really ugly though so I figured why not try a re-batch. So far the re-batch looks awesome, will post a pic of those as well. :)
