My team and I made 4 soy wax and 5 paraffin candles with using 8 oz mason jars. 6 wooden wicks and 3 cotton and 0.5 fl of FO. The soy has a very light scent compared to the paraffin but the has a better smoother top where as the paraffin started to sink when cooling.

Update:

All the candles so far burned but one. I currently been burning a Sandlewood FO with soy wax and a Tobacco/Vanilla FO with paraffin wax. The sandlewood soy wax has a very faint scent throw but the paraffin wax has about a 2 foot scent throw (guessing on the paraffin scent throw). I only used a 0.5 fl FO.

So what do you prefer more? Soy or paraffin? I once spoke about soy candles. This material is easier to find, and some flavors can be added there, so it’s okay that it doesn’t smell so much :)

Those sound like amazing FO's. I have been making soap and making WAY TOO MUCH so I thought I would venture into candles. I am patiently waiting on my supplies.
