woops  added actual numbers now

Okay so i have gone through and done tons of read, though somehow i missed the you shouldnt make batches smaller than 1lb with out being super percise, and i decided to make two small batches one 5oz and one 9oz It's been well past 48 hours and they are both like a waxy gel. The 5 oz one is more gel then the other 9oz, whose center is pretty stable its the sides that are not. They were molded in two plastic tubberware containers. Can anyone tell me what i did wrong? here are the recipies i used.

the 5oz one has
30% coconut oil 1.5oz
25% crisco 1.25oz
23% olive oil 1.15oz
10% canola oil .5oz
7% safflower oil .35oz
5% castor oil .25oz

Water 1.9oz
lye .71 oz
Its pretty much the walmart soap thats posted on this board.

the other one is:
30% coconut oil 2.7oz
30% olive oil 2.7oz
20% safflower oil 1.8oz
15% Avacado oil 1.35oz
5% castor oil .45oz

Water 3.42oz
Lye is 1.274oz

the hardness is 34
cleansing 20
conditioning 61
bubly 25
creamy 18

I added some cinnamon at trace to give this soap some color.

Im not quite sure what i did wrong. I am also in the middle of kansas where its super hot ( atleast 105 each day) and ungodly humid. the were wrapped in a towel and stored away for a good 24 hours before i first peeked. Hope someone can help me

please give the actual weights you used, including lye and water.

in the meantime, it sounds like the smaller one didn't gel at all, and the larger had a partial gel. in which case the solution is time...

5 and 9oz CP batches??

I have been soaping a long time and those are tiny, I can't imagine they would turn out. I have never done ones that small.

You should do at least 16oz but you have to be super precise..2lbs gives you more lee way.

Smaller cp batches are way harder than larger ones.

That seems way to small to me...
