I made 100% lard soap. Yay! the process went pretty well. I waited for a day to cut them and when I did I noticed in the middle there are white swirls in my soap! What on earth? Is it partial gelling?

It could be a partial gel. Lard is also high in stearic acid, so that could account for the lighter areas.

i agree it probably has something to do with the stearic acid, I made 70% lard bars about a month ago and they all have something similar...

Congrats on your first batch! It looks great. I'm new to this too and waiting for my supplies for my first batch so I can imagine how exited you are :)

Is there anything I can do to prevent the white streaks? And is stearic acid streaks a bad thing?

No it is not bad, it is just cosmetic. With palm oil, melting down the whole container and stirring well helps distribute the stearic acid throughout the palm oil. It might help with lard, I don't know. Personnally I wouldn't worry about your bars, they look great.
