After researching for over a month and lurking on this web site, I finally made my first batch of soap. It was a very basic recipe with coconut, olive and castor oils. I also HAD to add 0.5 Lemongrass Sage FO. It wasn't as difficult as I had thought it would be. Hardest part was keeping the blender stick under control. LOL. I'm already to make more!!!!

Oh, you poor dear! I have had that done and I know it it not something to look forward to. Hope all goes well.

I am so ready to make more i could burst. So many ideas, so little time? :)

ImageUploadedBySoap Making1379889709.642148.jpgmy first batch of soap and the mold I used. After 56 hours in the mold I had to put it in the freezer to get it out of the mold.
Hopefully I will be making more tomorrow!!

Good for you for getting started! The basic recipe I use is also olive oil, coconut oil, & castor oil. It takes a long time to harden, too. I'm trying a tiny bit less water with every batch I make.

So awesome! I've got my double strength coffee cooling for tomorrow morning batch. Although I saw the shampoo bar recipe, and may give that a try instead. Congrats on a beautiful batch. Can't wait to hear how the next one turns out.

You are really on a roll. Everything looks nice, I especially like the coffee bars. Did you use EO in the rosemary batch or just the herbs?

I infused the rosemary in the olive oil 24 hours prior and then also added some dried rosemary. Thanks
