:D nice job-everything looks super! :D

i particarly like your square soaps, they are lovely. i've been thinking of changing some of my soaps to square-what size are those?

do you think people have a preference of rectangular vs square?

i was thinking that with a square you would have a larger "pallet" for swirls and designs.

your thoughts?

Thanks!

The square soap is just under 3" tall and 4" across, 1" thick and weighs about 4.5 oz.
I prefer the square for the swirling. From the pics you can see the "Mow me over Shiraz" is an in the mold swirl. I seem to get cleaner differentiation of colors with the ITM swirl. I've tried ITP swirl too and it is great. You are correct about a larger surface area with which to work.

I have noticed that people seem to buy more of my square bars than rectangle. Even tho they weigh the same, visually, it seems bigger and they think that they are getting a better deal. I have moved into just having my facial bars rectangle and people love that.

I posted a pic of my Coconut Cream Facial Bar. That is one of my most popular bars. So, I guess it just depends.

thanks for the input!

i do believe that the square-er (?) bars seem to have more "perceived value" (bigger) than the rectangle bars.

on the other hand a lot of my customers prefer the smaller bars, as they are easier to keep a grip on in the shower. (*sigh!*)

it's difficult to come up with a "one-size-for-everything" ideal bar size!

Beautiful soaps (love the simple label) and your display is great! I sell both rectangular and loaf slice soaps and seem to sell about the same of each. I am now thinking of trialling one recipe in both shapes to see which sells more!

Tanya :)

Thanks everyone! You are all so kind. I love it here!

I love writing my labels. For me it's almost as fun as making the soap.

My etsy store has been a work in progress and I'm still working on it, but it's getting to where I like it too.

Yeah, I had a great time at the festival

I love this stuff!

Okay, now i don't have a screaming child in my ear as I type and I can actually say a proper thank you to you guys.

LJA - Thank you! That is my most popular label and one of my most popular soap bars. I sold out and have requests for more from retailers and customers. I am having to wait on my husband to make me some wooden molds before I can make more so that I can make it CPOP. The 6 week wait time of CP kills with the customers! They are already trying to pre-order, but I have to tell them "Not yet!" LOL I hate saying that to people.

Tanya - It is a psychological study. Let us know how it turns out. We can all cross reference our info and come up with a customer consensus and see how to make our people happy. 8)

Kitn - We did have a really good time. Apart from the heat, the people are lovely. The winery owner asked us to come back again, which is a great honor and I had repeat customers.

ChrissyB - Thank you! You are so sweet! Just like your Avitar.

studioalamode & rubato456 - Thank you two, too! LOL I am finally figuring out how to package these things how I like them. Simple works better for me too, cause it means that I spend less time labeling and more time with my little guy.
