Here are the pics from my failed translucent - by the time this was in the mold I would rather have drank that vodka than put it in the soap. Ah well - I ended up whipping it and it is an interesting soap. Today I tried rebatching it and making it a pretty pink. Well it is a pretty pink, but didn't rebatch too well nor did it hold the mold shape all that well.

They certainly lather up beautifully I will give them that.....

The bars look amazing - although definitely not translucent (lol).....the whipped effect suits what you have achieved with them.

I bet the pinks ones would have unmoulded fine if there wasn't that lovely detail in the mould - ah well, you live and you learn.

Tanya :)

P.S: They ARE a lovely pink

Thanks Tanya - they are rather unusual and I'm betting I couldn't repeat if my life depended on it......

Since they are usable and don't look totally horrible so I'm thinking I might donate them to the Salvation Army for the Christmas Baskets they give out.
