Experiment bars & yesterdays Strawberries n cream

I thought I would show the results of my experimental 'Double Duty Bars'

Remember these, one side reg. soap and the other salt bar...first cut:



Here they are at 5 weeks. As you can see the warped. I think it is becaue I forgot to discount the water and the soap shrunk on me. Darn it, now I have to do it again.
They look awful Could be worse though I guess.

I have no idea why the salt side turned so yellow....cool though. I had something else turn yellow once from shea butter. Anyone else?

And here is yesterdays Strawberries and Cream. Not happy with this one either. The pink swallowed up the white swirls.

I used Pinkberrie Sherbet from Brambleberry

No because I did not put any of the FO in the white soap. I used T.D. to make sure it stayed white and no Fo.

Oh don't tell me that! I will be furiously disapointed if it turns brown!!
That's good to know about the pink sugar as I just bought some Bummer!

Jarvan, sorry I forgot to answer you question. I got all upset when soapbuddy asked about my soap turning brown :cry:

I just cut out some hearts out of another bar of soap, layed them down in the mold and gently poured soap over them. It ran under the hearts just a tad, I don't know if it was because of all the salt or what but when I cut them I was able to take a pointed knife and scrape away the salt to expose the hearts. I'm going to try it again soon with just soap and see how it does.
