Essential Oils w Flower Essences: preservatives yes or no?

Hello everybody!
I'm working on a roll on product that has essential oils diluted in a carrier oil. To this I'd like to add a few drops of a flower essence. So my question is: would I need to put a preservative in it, or is brandy contained in the essences enough for the whole formulation to be "preserved" as a whole? I'm asking because flower essences are water and I want to make sure I formulate safe products.

Yes, any time you add water based product to oil, you need a proper preservative.

I agree. Plus, you may want to add a solubilizer, so your oils & waters won't separate.

Both as stated above. You'll need a solubilizer (PS 80 or 20) and preservative.
