I'm making a vanilla bath salt with pink Himilayen salts. Do you think from now until just a few days before Christmas will be enough time to see if the scent doesn't morph? I know it won't with regular sea salt but this pink salt looks so nice.

I guess I'll just try it and see what happens to the color and the scent. It's for a gift, not to sell or anything like that. Thanks soapbuddy.

I just ordered some pink himalayan salt, I can't wait to get it! Where the color comes from minerals in the salt and you have used the vanilla before with no discoloration. I am going with the answer that they will stay pink. You should have enough time to tell. That is about 4 weeks. I hope it works. Make sure to put the benefits of the salts on the label. They are very therapeutic. People need to know that it is an extra special gift!

For a gift, I suppose you could label for therapeutic properties. However, if you ever sells these, your label would have to change as you cannot make any medical/therapeutic properties about your bath salts.
