Emulsified salt scrub - still moisturizing?

I'm considering this:

• 1 ½ cups Fine Sea Salt
• 4 ½ oz Apricot Kernel Oil
• ½ oz Meadowfoam Oil
• 1 Teaspoon Orange Peel Powder
• 7 grams Polysorbate 80
• 1 mL Kumquat Fragrance Oil

I've read here that one major benefit to emulsified scrubs vs non is that they won't leave your bathtub oily or slick. Will they still leave the parts you salt scrubbed moisturized?

That may. I’ve never used PS80. I use Stearic and ewax. Sounds nice though. Try to and let us know how it works and feels. I’ve also not used salt but sugar.

I am worried that ewax and stearic might build up in the drain, and I feel like polysorbate won't, since it is a liquid. This may not actually be correct.

I’ve not had a issue. I use mine several times a week especially during the cold months. That or I’ve just been lucky.

I've used both a solubilizer and ewax in my scrubs. I find they both work well. The solubilizer leaves more oiliness on the skin and bottom of the shower, but the ewax still leaves a nice moisturized feeling on the skin.
I like both.

I use a similar recipe except I use e wax and it works great. Leave skin feeling very nice and soft.
