Ah..my pretties...you'll soon be embedded in Toto's soap! (have to say with witchy voice)

Only one question for those with a bit more soap seasoning than I. Do you generally wait a full cure before embedding, or is it safe to do fairly soon after cut? I CPOP'd these yesterday and cut today.[/img]

I can't wait to see that soap .You can embed whenever you like .I usually do mine right away so the embeds don't dry out to much.

Oh, that's such good news Kitn...I am jonesing to make the surrounding batch. As luck would have it, I am on my own at home tomorrow night and have to find something ( ) to pass the time.

I will cry if you don't post pictures of the finished product right after you cut it. The embeds alone look fantastic! You have one very lucky dog.

Ok. I made the doggone soap (haha) and I am not happy with them because I wanted the surrounding color to be blue for my Bluebelle

.
I used Ultramarine Blue which I had read could be pre-mixed with glycerin so that I can keep it in a bottle for just squirting in instead of having to mix the powder each time.

Notice what color never appeared. It won't either. It's so gray. Gray like my sadness that this didn't turn out the way I wanted.

Any ideas what I might have done wrong? It's a lard/CO/GSO/OO soap made with water.

Here are the bars:

Yeah, I suppose it turned out pretty good. I should be thankful for pretty soaps and not ***** about poor coloring technique.

well i think they're adorable! :D

i've had no luck with the um/blue either-in fact i'm sick to death of colors morphing on me!!!!

i just got a 6/1 oz selection of high-ph "pop" micas from www.tkbtrading.com for $20 and am loving it! i've used the yellow, green, pink, orange and lavender so far and the all came out a bright stong medium color @ 1/4 tsp ppo. haven't tried the blue yet, cause i can't find anything "blue" smelling yet. if i'm making a solid colored bar i just add it to my soaping oils before i add the lye. NO LUMPS!

my c/p soap recipe turns out a whitish bar and i've been careful not to use a f/o that discolors.

they have a sampler, too of 1 tsp of each color too. 1 oz will go a long way.

I think it looks fantastic!!! What a excellent idea!!
After the first picture I thought you were going to make Halloween soap. lol
