I have a lot of soap, this includes the MP I made before I started CP/HP and I was wondering if I can donate it to a local shelter without labeling it. I was thinking of buying a bunch of wash clothes and putting a bar of soap and a washcloth in a ziplock and donating it that way.

I use all kinds of unusual ingredients and for that reason have decided that I will always list the ingredients for every soap. Labeling takes almost as much time as making soap, but it’s also a bit of insurance. Could you print off the ingredients on paper in the format used for labels, cut them apart and stick one of those in each bag? It would be faster.

I have never sold soap. I give everything away and never had to label anything.

I have a ton of MP and some CP I was thinking of donating. I wasn't sure I have to label it at all. I not even sure I can remember what went into the MP. I do keep notes on every CP/HP soap but didn't with the MP

I get my washcloths from WalMart, colored ones are best and I prewash them. I use store brand ziplock bags and put half-bars of soap. These I donate to the homeless shelter and while I do not label these, the shelter has my name and number. I also make sure that I am only donating my regular soap (all vegetable) and no other additives other than scent and/or color.

I also donate whole bars of soap to a local church’s “food pantry” (they also provide non-food items) and these I do label because I donate regular and goat milk soap.
